Att blanka en aktie innebär att man tror på att den kommer minska i värde. För ett tag sedan var det mycket skriverier om det i och med en blankningsattack på SBB B. Detta var inget som var publikt då reglerna tidigare sa att det bara vara blankningspositioner större än 0,5 % som skulle redovisas. Reglerna ändrades sedan så att alla blankningar över 0,1 % skulle redovisas och då kom det fram många dolda positioner.
